I Always Wanted to Start a Revolution! (ALL)
From the Bring Back Chronological Posts Facebook wall:
On Friday, February 10th Facebook released an upgrade for it's pages. One of the New features included in the upgrade claims to "Improve Relevancy" by pushing posts with the most likes and comments to the top, but this has backfired.
For example, under the new "Everyone" filter, when a fan or admin posts something on a page's wall it will most likely be pushed to the bottom of the page and out of sight only to reappear hours, or even days later near the top when it's old news. How is a post going to get likes and comments if it's at the bottom of the page? Worse still, this is especially devastating to pages that rely on time sensitive posts by either them or their fans.
As of March 10th, all Facebook fan pages - including ours - will convert to this, and finding the latest news and freebies on the wall will be impossible! Facebook will not listen, they say they know best.
PASS IT ON! I suggest that all Facebook users close the ads on their profile pages. When you do a little box will come up asking the reason why, check the "other" option and then you can make a comment. Tell them "bring back chronological posts!" This will hit them in their advertising budget.
HOW TO CLOSE AN AD: There is an X in the upper right hand corner of each ad in the right hand column of this and every FB page.
Click that X and a list of reasons will appear.
Click "Other", and a box will appear. In the box write: "bring back chronological posts!"
If everyone does just four ads a day - with our 15,746 fan base alone that would be 62,984 ads commented on every day. If we do that every day, it will multiply rapidly!
If we can spread the word to other pages and friends...
QUICK FREEBIE TIP:
Read the fine print on all free stuff offers. Don't sign up if they ask for a required survey, gold card offer, promotion requirements, or your credit card information unless you are absolutely sure it's a legitimate offer.
