Wi-Fire USB WiFi Adapter GiveawayToday's giveaway is Wi-Fire USB WiFi Adapter, value - $59.00. Wi-Fire is a powerful, fully interfaced, WiFi adaptor that provides access to a wireless internet connection from up to 1,000 feet (300m) away - three times the range of your internal wireless adapter!

Rob walking the hospital hallways, looking for a WiFi signalWhile Rob was in hospital for 8 days, we decided to take in a few products to review, since there wasn't much else to do between tests. This one was fun - we were a sight - walking all around the floor of the hospital with the laptop, trying to get a WiFi connection, and once Rob got permission, we even went down to the Food court and tried there too.

We did manage to access one unsecured network - but it turned out to be for their Epson printers! We also were able to access an unsecured Public WiFi network, but it didn't seem to have an internet connection - at least we could not get online there, even though we got a perfect connection.

Wi-Fire USB WiFi AdapterUsing the Wi-Fire Adapter increased the number of networks we could see from 3-4 to about 10 - some from the apartment buildings and office buildings quite a distance from the hospital. Most were secured though, so we never did get internet access.

Once we were home, I took the laptop out to the backyard, where we tend to get a poor to fair signal strength to our own wireless network. Plugging in the Wi-Fire Adapter gave us a strong signal strength, and I noticed that we could see many more networks as well. Apparently there is a UPS secure network near us!

Wi-Fire USB WiFi AdapterWi-Fire, only 2.8 ounces, is palm-sized and easy-to-use. Its portability and long range make it a natural for travelers and other Wi-Fi users who want to connect at their convenience, not a network's whims. Perfect for back-to-school!

The Wi-Fire is a compact, range-extending USB device that enables you to access a wireless Internet connection from up to 1,000 feet away–three times the range of your internal wireless adapter.

Wi-Fire Manager reveals all available networks in the areaSee More Connections

The Wi-Fire Connection Manager reveals all available networks in the area – more than you’ve ever seen without the Wi-Fire. You’re now connected in places you never were before! Enjoy your new freedom and convenience.

Experience Faster Speeds

The Wi-Fire will provide higher speeds at low signal strengths than your typical internal adapter and competing “high performance” products. It has even beat Draft802.11n products in range and speed at long distances.

WiFi 802.11 b/g compatible. For Mac, XP/Vista, and Linux.
