So, my friend Alex got me thinking about these little gadgets we wear on our fingers—smart rings. Alex recently started using one, and at first, I didn’t get the hype. But after a few weeks, they were casually dropping fun facts about their sleep cycles and how they’d been way more active lately. Turns out, that tiny ring had been quietly keeping track of it all.

I tried one myself recently, and the thing that surprised me most? How it feels to look back at your day—not in a hyper-focused “count every step” way, but in a subtle, "Oh wow, I walked 3 miles today" kind of way. And the sleep insights? Let’s just say I’m rethinking my late-night movie habits.
