Tax day is almost here for our American readers, and if you are feeling the need for some free comfort food and stress relief, you are in luck! Offers valid in: US freebie

Staples Inc. and Office Depot Inc. will copy your tax forms for free!

On April 15th, MaggieMoo’s will reward customers nationwide with a free sample of their new MaggieMia’sIce Cream Pizza (The Pizza that Melts in Your Mouth™) in honor of Tax Day. The nationwide ice cream social will take place from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., and customers are encouraged to file-in-line at local Treateries across the country. Click here for a location near you.

McCormick and Schmicks - dinner and drink specials priced at $10.40 to take the edge off all that form filing, plus a freebie with purchase as part of their Tax Relief Celebration. All bar guests will get a free certificate for $10.40, to be used on a future visit. On April 16 the celebration continues with Tax Preparer Appreciation Day. REGIONAL TAX-DAY FREEBIES:

Dunkin Donuts is offering a "tasty tax loophole" - a free doughnut! At participating stores in Las Vegas only, Dunkin Donuts is offering a free doughnut with the purchase of any size cup of Dunkin' Donuts hot coffee on April 15, Tax Day.

In South Florida, McDonalds customers can get a Big Mac® or Quarter Pounder® with Cheese sandwich for just one penny when purchasing one at regular price on Tax Day.

Connecticut McDonalds is celebrating Tax Day with a Buy one Egg McMuffin or Big Mac at regular price, get a second for 1¢.

Atlanta McDonalds are offering buy one get one free southern style chicken biscuits or sandwiches until 11 PM.

In Seattle, Kidd Valley is offering 15 percent off Kidd Valley order. Also get 15 percent off your Boom Noodle / Blue C Sushi bill.

Subway customers in select markets in North Carolina and Virginia (Greenville, Greensboro, Wilmington, Raleigh, Richmond, and Norfolk) can save money on subs at Subway on Tax Day. On Thursday, April 15 only, sub lovers can buy one foot long, and forget one for free! Click here for a location near you.

Sea to You - Through April 14, Boston residents can get half-off the price of select sushi platters at Brookline’s Sea to You. A 64-piece deluxe platter, for example, is $45 instead of $90. The deal voucher expires Dec. 31/10.

In NYC:

Energy Kitchen - From noon to 2 p.m. on tax day, the healthy fast-food chain will sell a Bison Cheesesteak Wrap, California Wrap or Buffalo Chicken Burger and a drink for $2.00. Click here for a location near you.

The World Bar near the United Nations - offering a $5.00 “economic punch” rum cocktail that day.

Through April 28, New Yorkers can get a half-price ticket to Tastes of the Village: East festival on May 1-2, which offers free food at five local restaurants, including snack-sized mac-n-cheese at S’Mac and a small lobster roll at Luke’s. The $16 ticket (regularly $32) also gets you drink specials at three other venues.

In Baltimore:

Baltimore area McDonalds will be giving away small hot McCafés or medium iced McCafé Coffee throughout the day on April 15th.

Also on April 15, McDonalds will be giving out free McDonald's customized stamps at three area post offices in Baltimore, Columbia and Annapolis for the first 2,000 people. The stamp giveaway starts at noon at 900 E. Fayette Street in Baltimore, 1 Church Circle in Annapolis and 6801 Oak Hall Lane in Columbia.

Sotto Sopra - Dine at Sotto Sopra Restaurant on tax night, Thursday, April 15th, make a donation (cash, check or credit card) to the Kennedy Krieger Institute and for just one dollar ($1.00) you can order from a selection of nine pastas. Sotto Sopra will be donating 10% of the evening’s proceeds to Kennedy Krieger along with your donations. Reservation is required. Click here for more details.
