Yoplait Review: The yogurt with no guilt & fiber too!

Rob is enjoying Fiber One YogurtI have to start out by saying - I don't like yogurt. I've tried, I actually ate quite a bit of it when I was pregnant with Josh, and I've eaten it lately while on a diet - but given a choice I would not eat it.

So I was surprised after I had everyone else in the family try this yogurt first - when it was my turn, I found I actually liked it. It has such a nice smooth texture, not like regular yogurt at all. More like pudding, and even though I have never had a Key Lime Pie before - I really enjoyed this flavour!

For me, having only 50 calories and zero grams of fat, fit very nicely in my low-fat, low-calorie diet! But instead of munching on boring lower-calorie foods, I can snack with zero guilt on Fiber One yogurt.

Rob is our fiber guy - he wants to know how much fiber is in everything I buy. He always tells me, "fiber is your friend!"

According to the Institute of Medicine, everyone should be getting at least 25 grams of fiber a day. So when I told Rob there were 5 grams of fiber in in just one snack sized container of yogurt, he was shocked! He didn't believe me, "in yogurt - you mean in the whole box?" He actually laughed - till I showed him the Fiber One box. Rob ate all of the strawberry flavour we received, taking one to work each day in his lunch.

Chris trying out Fiber One yogurt Rob says: I tried both Strawberry and Key Lime pie flavours of Fiber One yogurt, I found both to be very flavourful. I prefer to eat foods that are full of flavour and yet still good for you. I would definitely recommend this to someone who is interested in trying yogurt for the first time. It has a nice creamy texture, not the usual yogurty texture you may have come to expect. It wasn't too bad, actually!

Sue says: I tried the Key Lime Pie, and when I opened up the yogurt, I was very shocked at how green it was! To be honest, it made me a little nervous, but once I took a taste I was pleasantly surprised. It was very creamy, more like pudding and the taste was delicious. I enjoyed eating it. Great for dieting!

Chris (10 years old) says: I tried the Key Lime Pie. It tastes kinda of good at first, but I don't think it's a kid food. If I had a choice, I would have tried the Strawberry instead - if Rob hadn't eaten it all!

  1. I've never been quite a fan of yogurt when I was younger. It wasn't sweet enough for me. But I'm really learning to love yogurt lately with all the different flavors that are being produced. The best part is it's healthy! Low-calorie, very low fat, and lots of fiber, it's amazing! So it's perfect to curb my cravings for ice cream or sweets sometimes :)
