Here is another great homeschooling freebie! Go to Studies Weekly, then click on your state. You'll be taken to a page of all the publication available for your state, by grade level. New York has 28 items - kindergarden to 6th grade.

When I click on Science Studies Weekly - Footprints, it says: comes in 24 colorful kindergarten-level issues, each issue in 8.5” x 11” glossy magazine format. Each student’s weekly magazine contains a standards-based science lesson that includes introductions to science concepts especially for the kindergarten student, ideas and instructions for hands-on labs, full-color photo-illustrations, and much more.

Choose a publication that interests you, click on the link, and see if it offers a free sample? It will show you whether or not a sample is available, by displaying "request a sample". Click on "request a sample," then fill in your info. Some homeschoolers put their last name as the "school" name, and it works fine. Click here. (US only)
