A Little Christmas Magic Through USPS Operation Santa
The holidays can feel especially heavy when money is tight, and children are hoping for a little Christmas magic.
USPS Operation Santa gives children and families across the continental United States, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico a chance to write to Santa and share their holiday wishes. Generous people can then adopt those letters and send gifts anonymously, keeping the magic alive because, as far as the children know, those gifts truly came from Santa. ❤️
If your family could use a little extra help this Christmas, write a letter with specific wishes, including clothing sizes, colors, or book and toy titles when possible. Be sure to include a clearly written return address on both the letter and envelope, add the correct postage, and mail it to:
Santa Claus
123 Elf Road
North Pole, 88888
Letters must be postmarked by December 5, 2026. Not every letter can be posted or adopted, but sending one gives Santa’s helpers the chance to find it.
If you are in a position to help another family, adopter registration begins November 2, and letter adoption opens November 16. You do not have to fulfill an entire wish list. Sometimes one thoughtful gift can make Christmas feel a little brighter.
