-- 1/2 cup shortening

-- 1/2 cup vegetable oil

-- 1/2 cup unbleached or all-purpose flour

Whip mixture until smooth, and store in airtight container at room temperature.
To use, dip a pastry brush or clean fingers into the mixture, and spread a thin layer over the bottom and sides of your pan(s) for recipes calling for greasing and flouring of your pans.

Here's a fun frugal craft! Would your little ones love a ball pit, but you don't want to spend the money?

You just need a small plastic pool plus several pool noodles you cut up! If you cut them into 2 inch pieces, you will get 26 pieces per pool noodle. So four pool noodles might be plenty!

Shop at the dollar store for your pool noodles, and you could probably make it for less than $5!
