National Power Rangers Day-- On August 28, 1993, the world was introduced to the first episode of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers television series. Almost overnight, the series became a global phenomenon, one still going strong to this day. While the original iteration of the Power Rangers only lasted three seasons, the franchise would keep going with new teams, new actors and an ever-expanding mythology.
